Welcome to The Infectious Disease service! Your time on ID will expose you to a variety of disease processes and patients throughout the entire hospital. You provide consultative ID recommendations to primary services as well as becoming familiar with the antimicrobial stewardship program.

Before Your Rotation
- Review the Goals and Objectives and ID Roles & Responsibilities
- Contact the fellow or attending on call by page the first day of your rotation to discuss the rotation.
Schedule
- Two-week rotation required for all interns with an additional two weeks for senior residents during PL2 or PL3 year
- No call, some variable weekend responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities
As a part of this rotation, residents will be expected to see patients in the following settings:
- PICU/CICU
- NICU
- General inpatient floors
The resident will receive direct supervision by Infectious Disease attending physicians and fellows.
