Before your rotation

  • Reach out to Dr. Benjamin 1-2 weeks prior to starting the elective to discuss details.

Schedule

  • Two week elective open to all residents
  • Residents will attend clinics based on the below schedule.
  • There are no call or weekend responsibilities on this elective.
  • Residents are expected to attend morning report and noon conference when you are not off-site.
  • General rotation schedule:

1/3/5th Mondays Orland Park 12-8 pm

2/4th Monday AM Garfinkel clinic

Tuesdays student wellness (undergrad and grad students)

Wednesday Comer clinic – mix of fracture, acute and overuse MSK – high yield day 

Thursdays Dr. Sullivan’s Comer clinic 9-3 

Fridays reading day unless special request for adult ultrasound or more fractures 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Residents on jeopardy call must carry their pagers at all times or forward this to an appropriate phone number where they can be reached. If activated for jeopardy call, they must contact the director of the rotation to alert them of their absence.
